Pros

Flexible Scheduling: They are quite flexible with interview scheduling—perhaps too flexible, as they can cancel last minute when they realize what they actually need. Responsive Communication: The company is quick to reach out and schedule interviews, even if the decision-making process seems to follow afterward. Courteous Rejection: Their rejection emails are polite and considerate, offering to keep your resume on file, though this might be a standard response. Opportunity for Reflection: The process allows candidates plenty of time to reflect on the company's internal coordination and recruitment strategy.

Cons

I recently applied for a position at Malt and, after an initial exchange, was invited for an interview. However, less than 24 hours before the scheduled interview, I was informed that my profile did not align with their requirements, as they were seeking a more junior candidate. While I understand that companies need to make decisions based on their needs, it is both disappointing and concerning that such a determination was not made earlier in the process. It seems disorganized and inconsistent to schedule an interview only to cancel it at the last minute due to a misunderstanding of the desired profile. Additionally, the overall communication left me puzzled. Practices like these not only frustrate candidates but also suggest a lack of internal coordination. Despite the experience, I appreciated the courteous rejection message and the offer to keep my resume in their talent pool for future opportunities. However, I believe it would be more effective and respectful to all parties involved if the recruitment process were more thorough and transparent from the start.
