Pros

The buzz of working here is unbeatable. The people are fantastic and you can't help but fall in love with the products. There are regular incentives and motivation is always geared on by the managers. A very good company run by good people.

Cons

The salary is unrealistic. If I came from a rich family I would still be working here, but I found it impossible to work here and live in London (and eat solid foods). The 50% discount helps a lot with birthdays/Christmas etc, but seeing as you can't pay your bills in bath bombs, it can be a bit useless. I also had a bad experience with a regional manager who told me I was moving store, and I was actually losing my job (and then she stopped answering the phone) which I found completely unprofessional.

Pros

Wonderful, open minded, progressive environment. If you fit the Lush dynamic it can literally become a way of life as well as a job.

Cons

For all of the amazing campaigns that Lush run to support animal welfare, the environment and human rights, financially, the remuneration for their own people is disappointing to say the least. I loved my job and made some life long friends and learnt so much and it broke my heart to leave, but I literally couldn't afford to stay if I ever wanted to save for my pension or buy a house and I had to think about my future prospects. Millions of pounds are regularly spent on fun, but unnecessarily elaborate managers meetings. If they invested even a little of that capital into their people instead, their retention rate would be exceptional.
