Pros

Can't think of any. Complete nightmare. At first, the pay seems decent, but you soon realise for the hours you put in, it's not great.

Cons

Too many too list. I was on the Graduate Trainee Program, and in effect you are nothing but a glorified shop assistant. No investment by management into developing your skills as a leader or developing you as a person. Unrealistic targets; write offs, productivity etc. Non food items that don't sell and clog up the warehouse. Unsociable hours. Staff that ring in sick, that leave you as keyholder responsible for their shift - lack of staff on the books often mean you have to personally cover this if no one else that can lock up is willing to work. No overtime pay, long weekly hours. Area Managers that don't have a clue.

Pros

I can't think of anything positive to say about this company. I changed career and thought I would enjoy a new challenge but I was completely wrong where Lidl was concerned.

Cons

30 minutes break in a 10 hour shift (if your lucky) Unhappy staff Everyone out for themselves (management) No work life balance Assistant Managers mainly do all the work and get all the pressures. Training is awful. Blame culture. Unrealistic expectations.
