Great benefits, but is it worth the
Pros
HR Benefits - Good pay, nice pension, bonus scheme, flexibility in working hours and working from home. Variety - working on a broad array of products and projects.
Cons
Regular restructuring and redundancies which feels like patching holes in a leaky ship rather than addressing the root cause(s). HQ is completely disjointed from the brands under its group and vice versa, there is no authority or 'one voice' when making decisions, this leads to lots of in-fighting, slow progress and rouge decisions when striving for a shared vision / output - it sometimes feels like the tail is wagging the dog. I have been fortunate to work for some great companies in which my colleges feel like family, however there is a lot of fragmentation, competition, distrust and paranoia between one another, which is also generated from management. This may be down to the constant restructuring which makes it difficult for managers to build solid teams with good rapport and employees feeling like they need to prove themselves for job security.
