      Good place to start; not a great place to advance

      Pros

      Work-life balance. KBR promotes a solid work-life balance with little overtime and the incorporation of the 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off).

      Cons

      Behind the times. I left KBR in early 2011 and they were still using Microsoft 2003 for everything. In addition, many KBR employees have been with the company for 30+ years. The age gap can be difficult to navigate and few seasoned veterans are willing to impart their knowledge to the "youngsters".

      Pros

      The character and quality of my colleagues were top notch. High level of integrity and sincere appreciation for work well done.

      Cons

      I got bored easily and never felt that I was doing all that could be done (restricted by the system). Saw no opportunities for career growth and advancement.

      Pros

      I was always treated fairly and was always given expanded responsibilities as my experience grew. I never felt like i had to negotiate in order to grow. I just came with experience and of course, performance.

      Cons

      KBR's involvement as a overseer and approach to risk management, because they are a public entity may limit future pursuits and opportunities.
