      Getting paid while waiting for an assignment

      Forgo this job at all costs since you will be expected to do a lot of work for little money. I took a position as a Tech Support Associate L2 in Irvine, California. My hourly wage was $16.86, although the hourly rate in Southern California is $17. Because the majority of your managers are from India, communicating with them can be difficult due to a cultural divide. This employer has high expectations for you, and you will be unlikely to obtain a raise. If you want to get paid based on your work experience and have a better company culture, work somewhere else as a Tech Support

      TERRIBLE PLACE

      You get to sit around on bench and then after a couple of weeks you get called out infront of your colleages as to why they think we are still on bench. hmmmmmm

      Cons

      everything else besides pay and did i mention my JD and Title changed upon hire.

      Good place to start, an awful place to stay

      Pros

      Infosys has a lot to give for those new to the field. They have extensive trainings and an array of positions to fill if you meet the requirements.

      Cons

      Their management hierarchy is a joke. For a while, I didn't know who my direct manager even was. The laptop they gave me is from 2014 and barely functions. Most of my time is spent debugging my own machine. Upper management prioritizes hiring more people over keeping the workers they have. Half of their internal systems don't work. I've worked on a few projects and I see why. There is no focus put on Infosys employees working on Infosys systems. A coworker of mine was threatened with termination due to his "lack of a project" though he was an integral member of multiple internal development teams. It also doesn't help that I am being paid a fraction of industry standards.
