      Exciting growth potential!

      Pros

      A company going places, that has invested a lot of time and energy into enhancing and improving over the last few years. There is a real commitment to people (diversity, inclusion and development) and client quality / technical excellence - this has taken time to develop and get right but now it is a very different company to where it was 2-3 years ago - and the colleagues in HKA really recognise this through the feedback given in the annual employee survey and the amazing engagement / support given particularly through the Covid year of 2020. I'm particularly excited about how collaborative everyone is and how committed the Board is to innovation.

      Cons

      A small company growing big always has growing pains - but nothing that undermines the quality of the people, business and delivery to clients

We appreciate you taking your time to share your valuable views, as a current employee and COO of HKA. Thank you. Having been here for the last few years, you have contributed, helped and seen the continuous improvement that continues to occur at HKA. Delighted you joined us and are part of our team helping to move us further forward. As you know, we are not complacent and we do know the areas that we need to improve further on. Thankfully we have a Board, CEO and ExCom who believe in equality, diversity and inclusion and we have passionate and smart colleagues who want to help us go faster on our equality, diversity and inclusion journey. Still room for improvement within HKA on equality, diversity and inclusion and also we need/want to encourage more diverse people to join our professions from schools/universities etc. I totally agree with your advice to Management and all the evidence points to us being focused on our People. I think your advice is particularly poignant as I think it is our people that make the difference to our clients and to making HKA a great place to work. Thank you again. Onwards and upwards we go! Firstly, I really hope you are well despite these pandemic times. I also hope that wherever you are in the world, your next career step after HKA is going well for you. Delighted to read that you enjoyed the collaboration you experienced at HKA and that you felt well supported by our management teams.       HKA is developing

      Collegiate (not perfect, but works hard at it), Top quality global work, Working to develop a genuine (not just tickbox) EDI approach

      Cons

      Not as well known (yet!) as it should be outside construction, clearly some prior issues (I wouldn't have joined if I felt the Glassdoor reviews reflected the current firm)

I have been at HKA roughly the same time as you and I agree with your points. I also think you are right in your points under "Cons" and "Advice to Management" - we do need to do more to be better known and promote the positive and ongoing progress in HKA.
