- Leadership wants RTO. We were just told we'll have to be at the office 3x a week starting in September 2025. And I get the feeling that they are eyeing increasing it to 4 or even 5 days within a couple of years. In any case they wouldn't commit to stop at 3 days in office, citing wanting to strengthen "company culture" and "having to find balance" .
- Leadership describes company as a big family without realising how disingenuous and toxic that is.
- Establishment of core work hours 10-3 paired with a policy of having to be at the office for 8 consecutive hours, excluding lunch. Forget avoiding traffic unless you show up very early. You can't finish your work day at home
- Leadership has generally shown signs of an outdated mentality when it comes to time off, sick days, summer hours and 4 day workweek. You only get 3 weeks to start, 1 more if you stay for 5 years. You also only get 5 sick days per year. Repeated calls for summer schedule or 4 days workweek have been rejected.
- Depending on your team the work might be very boring. The main product is established in its market. The physical security industry isn't very fast paced frankly. To startup people this will be dull. Most of your work will likely be maintenance and minor upgrades.
- For Montreal people, the office is located near the airport. If you live east of Mont Royal, or on one of the shores expect well over 1hr of traffic per trip.
