Pros

Got to work with the latest technology.

Cons

I have never worked at such a cheap and disorganised company! Management in my department changed 3 times in the year that I worked there. The HR is the busiest dept in the company due to the constant coming and going of staff. Productivity is low due to everyone listening to music with headphones, or "working from home". An exercise room, free expressos, and flexible hours do not make a TOP EMPLOYER!

Pros

Nice offices, big windows a good gym.

Cons

The worst place to work at . One layer of management whose ancient members are in agreement at all times. To agree to stay one solid unit when threatened by a fresh idea. Spying tactics on employees are a common practice and drastic decisions are executed based on rumors started by those same members. I wasted my years at Genetec. They project a most deceiving image.

Pros

As a developer, you get to work on very interesting products using cutting edge technology. 3 weeks vacation to start + they give a week off at Christmas (not guaranteed, but they have always done it since I have been there). Rarely a problem when requesting time off either. They understand people need a break and don't run people into the ground. The work environment is great: Fully equipped gym, foosball and pool table, PS3 with a bunch of games, free coffee, no cubicles (except for tech support). They will help pay for work-related training (including university) and also offer employee referral bonuses.

Cons

Can be a bit difficult to advance if you are looking for the fast track to a management position. Company is transitioning from small to medium size and it no longer has that tight-knit family feel to it.
