      Disappointing experience

      Pros

      Stocks and shares scheme for permanent employees, free fruit in the canteen.

      Cons

      Staff treated unequally with a lot of systemic favouritism coming from the top down. Toxic environment with multiple people off for stress/anxiety. Progression very slow for many people except the favoured few. Pay very poor and huge disparities between people with the same job title (I had to train a new starter who was earning 2k a year more than me). Overall very disappointing experience from supposedly a global leader in the field. I would say only work here for 12 months max to get the name on your CV then move on.

      Pros

      Global organisation and the fantastic legacy that GSK once used to be does add some weight to your CV

      Cons

      It’s all about favouritism by senior leaders. Delivering value, exceed performance targets and doing the right thing doesn’t get you anywhere. Awful leadership that cover up big problems. Consistently under reorganisation and despite claiming their a modern employer , they are moving roles to cheaper markets without looking at the talent and delivery. Stay away.. gsk is on a downwards trajectory

      Pros

      Shares. Work life balance. If you like looking out of a window all day its the place for you. Progression if you can swallow the company bs or have a manager who likes you.

      Cons

      Poor managers. Where innovation and ideas come to die. No chance of progress if your face does not fit. Hard work and the ability to do the job counts for nothing. Say the right things and you may progress
