GSK...great if you like politics with beancounters in charge of research.

Good scientific "Community" with great support from peers. Ability to make a difference in peoples lives by developing new medicines.

Cons

Promotions are few and far between...alot of politics involved. Company is WAY too large with layer upon layer of bureacracy.

Lack of competency in upper management, declining industry, lack of respect from doctors, urealistic sales goals and metrics expectations, no consistency or stability in upper management's expectations, lack of communication by upper management, terrible company morale

large and cumbersome, takes an act of congress and too many developmental programs to advance. When funds got tight, company took to increasing size of compliance dept to trim salesforce. Denied impending layoffs.
