Pros

Great company mission, lots of passion for the work. Good work environment in most businesses.Company serious about ensuring its future success, which is why there is so much change at the moment.

Cons

Lots of change and uncertainty. People under pressure to move fast and be agile, which impacts quality and quantity of communication and thoughtfulness in doing the work. More work piled onto managers. Less respect for people than there used to be (although could be on par with other companies).

GlaxoSmithKline

Pros

The benefits that Glaxo Smith Kline offers are comparable if not a bit better that other companies I have worked for.

Cons

Upper management talks a lot about the need to be transparent with both its employees and its customers but I do not see that happening. Retroactive performance improvement plans, being told that layoffs would not be happening (then they do), are two examples of lack of transparency and respect for its employees.
