Pros

GSK has a great mission and strong brand recognition in the pharmaceutical industry. Access to modern tools and technologies. Some team members were talented and collaborative.

Cons

Toxic work environment in the DS&M group. The leadership within this specific department fosters politics, favoritism, and exclusion rather than meritocracy. I was subjected to micromanagement, undue pressure, and emotional distress, which ultimately led me to resign, despite wanting to contribute long-term. Zero focus on team well-being or mental health. Psychological safety is severely lacking. No support system for employees, biased treatment. Feedback and escalation mechanisms are either ineffective and ignored.

Pros

Great pay, flexible hours(hybrid can be allowed depending on role and manager), and overall great atmosphere. Site leaders definitely make great efforts to have community events that bring everyone together. They aren't given a ton to work with so they do a good job of creating a good work environment. My coworkers are great and the work we do is seen and acknowledged, and I'm able to see how my work is used down the line.

Cons

There's a lot of uncertainty with multiple reorganizations happening and higher-up leadership up and leaving. I haven't been affected but many around me have.

Pros

Pays well Nice location to live

Cons

Lost our values. Constant crisis. There is a persistent blame culture where individuals are held accountable instead of addressing underlying process failures. Current site leadership demonstrates high drive but low emotional intelligence, creating a toxic and unsupportive working environment. While upcoming redundancies may be used to excuse this atmosphere, it’s important to note that these issues were present well before the current restructuring.
