Pros

FedEx is a safe place to work; if you show some initiative and work for them, you will not lose your job, so it is very secure.

Cons

Boring, behind the times, stuck in their ways, you'll never change anything or add fresh ideas that would help the company. The company is led by out of touch people who listen to the wrong people. Dataworks leadership is the worst on the planet. FedEx is doing everything wrong and, for the sake of those working there, I hope FedEx can stagger along and provide jobs for its employees, but the smart modern business people who leave FedEx are creating startups that are draining the company's digital revenue streams. FedEx may be going the way of Blockbuster, Service Merchandise, and Tower Records. USPS and Amazon will bleed FedEx and their backwards ways.

DONT WORK HERE

Pros

The only thing good about this job was the benefits they provide.

Cons

Let me just start off by saying don’t work here. The stress and the workload of this job isn’t worth it. The managers don’t even bother learning your name and work you like a dog. When things get hectic here, other managers come and start barking up orders, calling you names like “YO!, YOU!” And not to mention whistling at you. Managers don’t communicate, so you’ll be put to do something first by one manager and then you get yelled at by another manager as to why you’re doing what you’re doing. I think my last straw was when one night got hectic and weren’t told what time we would be going home. These managers don’t know how to make smart, decent decisions; they’re rude and very entitled. Not to mention a manager threw 2 boxes in my face and no one seemed to care. I also got terminated from this job due to the fact that I got hurt very badly at work and took some days off to recuperate. I couldn’t even walk and they wanted me to come in to work. In the beginning Fedex is all about safety and how they’re there for you and your safety, but not one person cares about that. When you get hurt, the safety specialist talks to you with attitude and barely cares about your safety. I felt like a slave, I was discriminated, I was talked down to and so many other things. Many others are treated the same way. It has been such a terrible experience working here. I don’t recommend it at all.

Pros

Great coworkers, great customers, recognized brand, a culture that recognizes that employees are important. Anyone who interacts with customers, sales or operations, will probably do anything they can to try to give a great experience.

Cons

Ever increasing job load, always decreasing resources. Poor service and real problems with billing and pricing systems, low margins don't allow anything to ever be fixed. Feels like no one is running the company, there's no clear vision or leader. Upper management=lifetime cheerleaders, no innovation or strong ideas
