Pros

People-Service-Profit philsophy! Excellent policy and works over and over! Excellent employee benefits for employees.

Cons

Depends on the economy how we get to grow and make more profits. We take a big hit when the economy is bad but we control our own destiny in those situations and come back strong everytime.

Pros

No other jobs out there right now and there's stll a lot of potential, if the company will just begin listening to those of us who know how to grow the business. The people who are left are still just as dedicated as they ever were and it is a privilege to work with them.

Cons

Pay cuts, layoffs, benefits reductions, poor strategic decisions, idiotic tactical decisions, and a leadership in personal survival mode with no concept of long-term planning.

Pros

The base salary is good. Benefits for senior professionals include a vehicle (not fuel though). The medical insurance plan is good as is their retirement plan. The company philosophy of "People-Service-Profit" (in that order) is part of the oganizational culture and fabric. The work/life balance is excellent and allows for remote work from home. Management is fair. The organization offers very diverse opportunities for a project manager. It's a good place for a long term career.

Cons

Their bonus opportunity is not that great. Company cars do not include fuel costs. Their philosophy of putting people first has its drawbacks as perception management is a key skill for management (and project managers) to master. The functional organization structure and culture of silos can be complex to overcome for a project manager. Being an American based organization you may be required to work early evenings from time to time depending on the project. Staff turnover is low which does require one to have patience if professional advancement is an objective.
