Pros

Nice PT job for college student Paid Weekly Transfer Opportunities

Cons

Management obviously. There was one good Senior Management but he transferred and things went to hell from there. They are very sexist there. If you're a hot girl you will get your way, come in late and never get wrote up or fired, men always get hassled and fired, either way it should be equal. If you're not valuable you won't get respected by management. One manager does everything from the book and as no personality which makes it hard to work for. One only hires hot women and doesn't care about their resume. You could work for McDonalds and show up at the interview and be hired without experience. The management likes to gang up when firing, they will monitor any little thing you do to get rid of you. They allow drunk workers on the dock and not send them home and in one scenario, they awarded one for employee of the month. Employees will threaten each other and almost fight, management doesn't do anything about it.

Pros

Insurance benefits. Tuition reimbursement. You have the ability to be as successful as you can be, if you are willing to work for it and deal with multiple disappointments along the way. It can be extremely easy at the hourly level.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations for management from VP level down. Incompetent/ out of touch upper management. Profit oriented, no longer people oriented. Unable to get resources to properly manage. Unable to hire specific jobs categories in an efficient manor. Director level makes arbitrary decisions which can seriously affect employees of all levels, only to erase the decision a day later. Chain of command may be too long..

Pros

Benefits and job advancement opportunities. Work/ life balance is really good. FedEx is a great stepping stone to gather experience and move on.

Cons

The job itself is not very challenging and therefore not really rewarding. Compensation is not there and the bonus system is a fraud.
