Pros

I had been given a Beacon award from the CEO of FedEx Office, Brain Phillips on March 20 in 2009

Cons

Although, I had been given a Beacon award from the CEO of FedEx Office, Brain Phillips on March 20 in 2009 for my outstanding customer service, in delivering the Purple Promise. That prestige’s Beacon award was never given to me within the 24hour period in which all “Beacon Awards” from the Chief Executive of Operations are routinely presented. Consequently, this kudos was not given to me until October of 2009 (6 months later), after being discovered by Center Management and District Management during a Clean and Bright day at the store location in September 2009. Then one month later I was Administratively Transferred from the location to another location that takes “3 hours” to get to by public transportation. What was the purpose of going above and beyond dedication, devotion, commitment, keenness and loyalty for 10yrs “to reach the top” of one of Fortune Magazine top 100 companies to work for if this is how Beacon Award winner from the CEO of the company are treated at FedEx Office – I thought you just like to know. THANK YOU!! (Where am I now on disability of course - transferred block to return to old location)

Pros

Well, I'm a very hard person to please when it comes to employment. I work as a customer service specialist here. I'm happy with the job I do. I've stayed here for a few years when I expected to just work here to supplement employment during a tough time. I reach out to customers, welcome them, expand opportunity, and grow small accounts. I have lots of fun making good contacts. Nobody following you around as a SCSS and the trust you get in your position to get the job done. Learning new ways to help customers based on the tools you're given. For me, it's always fun and challenging.

Cons

Getting the message from Senior level management is usually like playing telephone. By the time the message gets to you its a bit distorted and confusing. I'm sure if they refine it a bit, it will be fine. I think the rewards package for sales people could be better refined. Measurement tools used to rate the job you're doing benefits cheaters instead of those doing a good job.

Pros

FedEx office offers flexible scheduling and pretty good pay for college students. There is plenty of opportunity for advancement after graduation.

Cons

This may be dependant on individuals, but the downside of working at Fedx office was the tolerance of nonsense in the workplace simply because a person had tenure or senority. If an individual had been working at the company for a long time, management was more likely to let their bad attitudes and other nonsense slide.
