Pros

- Great regular customers - You get the opportunity to consult/help with some very interesting people/projects. -Decent hours -Decent Benefits (Health, Vision, 401k, stock purchases, school reimbursements)

Cons

- There is a major disconnect between upper management and regular employees. -Management has no idea what it's like to be a customer facing employee and expect you to use the same talk track with every customer regardless of what there needs are. -Having to offer products that you and the customer are well aware they dont need. -Frequent employee turnaround due to stressful work enviroment -Promotions are few and far between. Employees are promoted based on how well they can schmooze with management as opposed to their knowledge and sales numbers. -I've seen new hires get a management position over a more qualified seasoned employee numerous times, I'm assuming this is due to "metrics" and an attempt to keep payroll down. -Stores are frequently understaffed. -Management implements policies that seem silly without explaining why.

Pros

The culture and people in my department, as well as many other areas of the company, are the best I have ever experienced. Although the benefits may not be considered the best on the market, they extremely good and competitive and also some of the best benefits I have had outside of the military when you look at the total package. Fair hiring practices are a huge priority for the HR and recruiting team and that was great to see. There is a lot of push to be more competative with some of the wages. It is an extremely colaborative environment focused on continuous improvement. A lot of the managers really empower the employees on the corporate level. Work life balance is fantastic at the corporate level, although their PTO policy could stand some improvements. The leadership in my department were all as good as it gets and the senior leadership are really fantastic as well. The CEO remembers almost everyone.

Cons

Although I was fairly compensated for my experience and in comparison to most of the market in my area, pay is definitely an issue for some corporate positions as well as quite a few of the field markets. In the corporate side where there is a lack in pay, in many cases is definitely made up by a great culture, so it will really depend on whether you are driven by money or work environment. There are quite a few areas of the organization that are understaffed both in the field and corporate based on the workload, but mostly in the field. Many field managers will make the complaint that they do not have time to help, coach and mentor the people and many of the people will complain that they are not helped, coached or mentored. So it is easy to see there is some disparity there which reflects in many of the glassdoor reviews. It is not like this throughout the organization, but rather in pockets. Career growth can be difficult at times not because they do not want to promote from within, but because there is a lot of tenure. A lot of people love it there so they do not leave. It is also EXTREMELY competitive. There are a lot of very intelligent and talented people in the organization and you have to really step your game up if you are going to progress. It is a very large organization so the amazing culture you see in some areas is not always seen in others, but I think this is normal with any large-scale organization.
