Pros

I chose this job for its part time hours and its 20/hr pay. I wanted to spend more time at home pursuing illustration and other creative freelance endeavors. This job allows me to pay my bills. I've never driven forklift before, but now I am several months in and it's becoming easier.

Cons

The building I drive forklift in is not temperature-controlled. Winter is coming and it's about to become an ice box. I'm going to have to prepare for this so I can bundle up properly. I hate being cold so I'm going to wear layers and might even buy a heated vest and heated gloves. Another con, everytime you're on the dockfloor (where the forklifts run) you are risking your safety. However, it is protocol and the norm for all forklift operators to prioritize safety above all.

Pros

Supportive management, friendly and helpful coworkers, Comfortable office environment, health insurance even for part time

Cons

Cutting hours for part time, had to create my own process guides for many tasks due to minimal formal training.
