Pros

They bridge the gap between what you learn when you come out of university and what you need to learn when you a professional IT consultant. The training is hard and intense, but totally worth it. Their clients are all large well established organizations, mostly banks. Your resume would look much better after being at FDM.

Cons

You have to be geographically flexible, but they do help with relocating. You have to forgo pay for 4 months whilst you complete our training course. Pay will start, once you are onsite at our clients work place.

Pros

Only if you are absolutely desperate would I recommend applying here. They can get you a job with an investment bank. But it's certainly no guarantee. Go on LinkedIn and search for trainees (I.e technical graduates not sales staff/recruitment/marketing) who spent 2 years with FDM before being released. Send them a message; many are doing well but most don't have anything nice to say about FDM. They usually use expletives when describing how the sales and academy staff treated them.

Cons

- Racism in the office : lots of racist comments made by account managers and senior staff when the trainees are not present. - Rude , unhelpful account managers who in reality are recruiters who only care about money and are put under pressure to "sell" graduates to other companies(their clients). This is essentially their business model. They stopped using the word "sold" and now say "placed" to appear politically correct. - biased selection of graduates who will be placed: if you attended a top 10 university, are female , Caucasian or all the above you will be given preferential treatment with regards to client interviews for jobs. - upto NINE months unpaid after which NO GUARANTEED JOB. During these 9 months (upto 6 months training & after training you are forced to stay with the company for a further 90 working days) you are forced to come into their office each day. Thus if in London you will be paying travel costs & accommodation & living costs for 9 months without a salary! - FYI The company that owns FDM (Inflexion) sold their entire share in FDM(google it). Why would they do this? Think about it.
