Flexible hours, interesting project, decent people.

Cons

Targets over everything. Work life balance is none existent. Staff are viewed as resource not people. Little to no room for personal development. Staff issues are glossed over rather than addressed.

Upper/middle management see people as numbers not people

Pros

Easy going hours, flexible, lots of easy work (which i see as a con anyway really).

Cons

They do not do what is best for the employee, they do what is best for themselves/politics, what keeps their jobs, and gets upper and middle management an extra bonus. The pay is also bad for most engineers - very hard and complicated to get a payrise. But more importantly than money it is hard to move around the company to improve your skills and knowledge.
