North American Management Needs Work

Pros

I worked for them in Europe, and the teams over there were great. They were so supportive, and absolutely wonderful people to work with. This review is specifically for the NA teams.

MANY cons. My first year of working there I took unpaid leave as my maternity leave and when I came back I was told I was not getting a bonus because I only worked for 6 months of the year. Despite the fact that a 15% bonus for my first year was in my offer letter. I should have gotten 15% of the 6 months' salary I worked for my bonus. I absolutely felt discriminated against and punished for having a baby and taking UNPAID time off. There is no support for working parents. - They claim "great benefits" but it is subpar at best (15 days PTO, no sick time, no parental leave, okay health plans, and a wellness credit) - Their pay is low, despite the fact that they do a lot of market research for the roles they hire for. But they will low ball you. I got a 35% salary increase by finding another job. - Completely disorganized. No set processes. Everyone flies by the seat of their pants. - Absolutely no career growth opportunities. - It is evident that the only thing management cares about is the budget. Every decision they make is about money and for the sake of profits. There is no emphasis on objectives and career growth, but about how much money you made the company. There are no discussions on how to improve the employee experience, because, again, that would mean spending money that management does not deem important enough. It was very clear that no one cares about you as an employee, or even as a person. It's a very cold place to work. There is no "work culture." - They are prone to layoffs with no notice given. - Management plays favorites, and it felt rigged in certain employee's favor. There are work politics at play.
