Good benefits, decent pay

Pros

Most other employees are hard working, decent pay, good benefits, no weekends unless busy season

Cons

Upper management expectations are usually higher than they should be, favoritism in the workplace, employ "warm bodies" and others have to pick up the slack

Pros

World leader, financially strong, always in growth mode, resilient during Covid, flexible work environment (WFH), good benefits, smart colleagues, committed to diversity & inclusion, took care of employees well-being during pandemic

Cons

All depends on who you work for - some leaders are highly critical micro managers (but not the majority), strong French bias, culture not as entrepreneurial as one would like, multiple rounds of layoffs in recent years as company merges with Luxottica - which has hurt morale; career development commitment limited to a select few while multitude live with uncertainty, not willing to invest in latest technology platforms to improve efficiency
