Pros
Do you want to boost the early stages of your IT career? Do you have modest salary requirements and can you stand hard-core corporate habits? Then join! 1. Škoda invests a lot into your trainings but pays little salary (hourly wages). When you learn all your lessons and / or are sick and tired of the medieval management style, leave for better! 2. There is a safe to fail culture, so don't worry and try and fail! Just make sure you stick to all the crazy processes and don't criticize, keep your opinions for yourself and simply nod your head. 3. It is a really great place to learn about IT. 4. Colleagues are great, overall (unfortunatelly, they leave frequently). The most stubborn and persistent can even make some tangible career progression here (in tens of years). 5. There is a possibility for you to be expatriated in Germany (but you have to fight really hard for it). 6. Benefits are really nice (e.g. car leasing)
Cons
1. Top management is detached from reality. 2. The house is full of career managers with little or no knowledge of the subject and they focus primarily on the processes, bureaucracy and their own careers. 3. The electromobility. There is no long term future for Škoda. Pity. 4. The salaries (it is wages, actually) tend to be two or three times less than the market average. 5. Working time is not flexible. 6. Only few, extremely busy, seniors to get advice from.
