1. 1st and 2nd Level Management seem forced to micro-manage, and with some, carry it out to precision.
2. The preferential (often via nepotism) treatment of some is EXTREMELY blatant, and VERY disadvantageous to those who don't have the same luxury of having either a relative or a long-time acquaintance working there.
3. The culture is predictably gratuitous, where certain people are allowed to flout policy, IF they are in good graces with 1st and/or 2nd level management. If you aren't, they seem almost committed to blackball you by process, where you'll eventually either quit, get asked to, or summarily let go.
4. People who have either used the software (or worked in Property Management) elsewhere BEFORE working for Yardi, seem to do better here, UNLESS you also have had an accounting background as well. Too much reliance is given to 2nd-hand source material, a lot of which is convoluted, and not always DIRECTLY germane to the issue you are having.
