Pros

The brand has strength, but that's all.

Cons

After being laid off from Xerox I elected to register for COBRA health insurance. What I discovered is that Xerox pays less than 20% of the insurance cost. Employees are burdened wit the remainder, including high deductibles. Given the fact that the company gives raises and bonuses to less than 2% of its employees and 401k matching contributions were cancelled 2 years ago, it's safe to say Xerox is a no benefit company. Anyone who is considering employment with Xerox should know this and understand how to negotiate a salary. Look at the average salary for the position you're applying for from other companies in the same city. Then add a 50% premium to that value. It's critical that you fully understand the value of benefits you receive from your employer.

Pros

Big company with solid benefits

Cons

Pay is not on par with competition and raises are very hard to get. If you don't get what you are looking for when hired you will likely never get it.
