Best avoided unless you are desperate for work or you are a C-level employee - Assistant Vice President, Recruiting Xerox Employee Review

Pros

Some really good people on the various teams and decent camaraderie which is largely brought about because of the shared hardship of having to work in such a sorry company. Executive leadership sees employees as a disposable asset and no job is safe from being sent offshore unless it absolutely must be client-facing.

Cons

No significant pay increases to speak of for the last five years, although they will sometimes counter-offer if they are about to lose a critical person. Bonuses are also a myth that haven't been seen in years except for a fractional payout in 2011. It may be in your offer, but don't expect to ever see a dime of it unless you are related to the CEO. Get it in your base pay or don;t get it at all. Benefits are very expensive. 401(k) has no match and if you are a high-comp employee, expect to be excluded after your first year because they never pass non-discrimination testing on their 401(k) plan.

Pros

Big company with solid benefits

Cons

Pay is not on par with competition and raises are very hard to get. If you don't get what you are looking for when hired you will likely never get it.
