Pros

It's hard to fault GDD's potential for experience that can be gained given its enormous array of platforms you can work on. That and the collection of talent withing the groups is astonishing. The people on the ground are as good as it gets really.

Cons

..unfortunately, all of the Pros become quite diluted and lost with a small collection of 'Leaders' at the top that spoil what has great potential and untimely are the cause of such a poor staff retention rate. The definition of insanity becomes the daily task and abuse stays just within acceptable legal limits, not that HR seem to have any power with the boarders of GDD. To survive in GDD you must forget what you know, be quiet and get in line with old thinking or prepare to be 'Managed Out'.

Pros

Flexibility of working time Unlimited personal days Get to travel around the world Compensation & benefits

Cons

Generally more than a 40 hour week. Working globally, you could be up as early as 5:00 am for calls and as late as 11:00 pm at night or 1:00 in the morning. Working remotely in a global role can sometimes be exhausting as you’re generally in meeting (video calls) during core business hours and having to get work done around the calls.
