      Pros

      Great pay with smart teammates if you're in the right organization. There is still a hint of the old engineering culture but many have since left.

      Cons

      Lots of dishonest middle management and empire building. Lots of engineers who are overpaid to know nothing but copy-paste code. Uber is a political organization, not an engineering one. You do not work here to learn or advance your career. You come here to do pretend to do work.

      Pros

      I love being able to work around truly passionate people who are ready to change the world. The culture is great, free snacks and food is big plus. I had the opportunity to take ownership of projects within my first month

      Cons

      The hours are much longer than any other job I've worked in, but this is expected to change as we continue hiring more help
