Pros

- Colleagues are all young and that makes for a fun atmosphere a lot of the time. - As a result, it’s a good extension of university, and an easy transition into working life. - Kitchens are very well stocked (lifesaver). - You do pick up basic sales skills, learn how to deal with difficult people, and work out how to manage your time in a way that you never have had to before (although some might argue that you pick the latter up no matter where you work).

Cons

- The work gets boring very quickly, you most definitely do not need a degree to do it. - You don’t learn anything, and at times you might feel like your brain cells are dying. - Expectations vary from team to team and can be ridiculous (given the pay). - Progression is largely based on luck, you can work incredibly hard and still not get promoted. - Whether you do well or not month on month will inevitably affect how you are feeling outside of work because a) it’s all anyone talks about and b) it affects your salary. - The people managing you have no management experience (other reviews have called this ‘the blind leading the blind’, I’d say that’s pretty accurate). - Most of the brightest hires leave within a year. As a result, the majority (not all) of the people you answer to are not the sharpest. These are the people who then micromanage you. - The micromanagement is unbelievable, and insulting. You often find yourself being treated like a child by someone who only has a few months more experience than you.

Third Bridge Response

Thank you for taking what was clearly a substantial amount of time to share your feedback about Third Bridge and your experience as an employee. We are sorry to have lost you as we can tell this was an important place – not just as a career but as a bit of family. While we can’t respond to all of your feedback, here are a few thoughts after reading and re-reading your feedback. First of all, let us apologize if you did not feel appreciated by us, especially by those in the executive team. That is not our intention nor is it a good representation of the intended culture of the company. Due to your comments and those of a few others, the senior management are making a more conscious effort to actively engage with everyone. We will admit it can be hard at times as we have much to do in leading the company forward with a number of critical objectives. But we appreciate your reminder about the importance of the exec team’s interactions. Second, concerning the "blind leading the blind", we have taken great steps to make sure that proper management training is provided to team leaders and those who are gaining internal promotion. There are many successful examples of Third Bridge team members moving from Research Analyst positions to VP positions. We pride as a company the fact that we are able to grow talent from within and we are actively looking for internal talent first as we grow. And the ability to move into manager roles will be there for those who want it and are willing to put in the effort to develop their skills. We totally agree that this is important – for team members to believe that upward mobility is possible and that they should be managed by those who have management experienced and that they are not treated just like sales numbers. Finally, thank you for taking action to try to improve areas that you felt were not to your expectation. We're sorry you did not get the reaction you wanted but we are confident that with the right attention to these issues, your ideas and those of the Third Bridge team moving forward here, we will have an amazing amount of success while still enjoying life at work. Please do send us an email so that we can discuss more in detail theteam@thirdbridge.com. Thank you for being a Third Bridger and we wish you all the best for your future endeavors. -Team Third Bridge

Pros

Good entry-level opportunity with exposure to fast-paced, client-facing work. The company hires driven, sociable individuals and can be a strong starting point for building communication, prioritization, and execution skills in a high-performance environment.

Cons

High turnover and inconsistent management quality significantly impact the employee experience. Success is heavily dependent on your team lead and manager, with limited recourse if you’re placed under ineffective leadership. In my experience, poor communication, lack of emotional intelligence, and unclear expectations from management made it difficult to succeed and negatively affected day-to-day productivity. Internal processes around performance management and PTO lacked transparency. I was placed on a PIP and terminated shortly after (within a week) in a way that felt abrupt and not aligned with prior communication, which was initially framed as a discussion around pending PTO. There were also delays in PTO approvals, and I experienced issues with compensation adjustments following a promotion that required follow-up to resolve.
