Pros

The staff I managed made the job bearable. And the fact that the title company - Subway - is all around a great company to be associated with. Classic and familiar fast food that serves a more health conscious society, something that carried a since of pride, or perhaps value.

Cons

The actually franchise owners were fairly awful given the region. Minimum wage, with very little hope where raises were concerned and when they were rewarded the increments were very small and normally only accompany a promotion and there are only so many titles to go around. In such an industry where turn around is very high, they did little to reward or show gratitude for the loyalty of the hard working staff of which the franchise was very lucky to have. And as someone who worked with the auditing and paper trail aspect of our particular location - there was really more that could have been done.

Pros

Very flexible scheduling, especially if your manager is willing to work around all their employees. You usually get a 50% discount that you can use once a day too.

Cons

Direct district management at this location does not know how to manage people. He will not really do anything to help or assist until his supervisors look into his stores and what he does. He will shift blame onto any general manager he can, and if any district manager decides you are doing your job incorrectly or you need to adjust what you are doing, there will be little to no support in helping you become a better employee. It really can become a "popularity contest" when you work in store management. If you are a regular employee or shift lead, you won't really have any direct contact with district management.
