Pros

Sodexo provides great management training, values employee work-life balance, promotes employee network groups and mentoring programs, encourages career growth and mobility. The commitment to strong ethics is evident across the company, from units to senior leadership.

Cons

It's a very large company, so there's a significant learning curve. There are a lot of divisions to get to know and processes to learn as a new employee. With so many different units, there is feeling of working in silos and a lack of connection with the company as a whole, unless you make the effort to connect through the networking or mentoring groups.

As far as the learning curve and the size of the company, you're right that it does take some time to learn the ropes. However, both of the things you mentioned (mentoring groups and networking opportunities) are excellent for improving your understanding of the business as a whole. Cons

- Competitive or challenging to transfer or move up to another career in the company - very strict attendance policies - The company has been downsizing and laying off - Many changes in the last two years with staffing, system changes - Lack of transparency
