Pros

Shell is the most employee friendly I have ever worked for. It believes in diversity and really provide all the support needed to its employees on personal front, be it a working mom or a new dad! Shell also provides good avenues to travel to the headquarters (Netherlands) time to time, take feedback and work on it to improve employee satisfaction.

Cons

Very slow processes, monotonous work, no real learning. After working few years, you start feeling unemployable elsewhere. It sometimes give a sense of government job where only people with good contacts get to work on good tasks. Less recognition for excellence & delivery, more emphasis on networking!

Pros

Early career engineers are given significant ownership and exposure to complex operational challenges. Strong focus on safety, technical development, and collaboration across disciplines. Opportunities to work on high-impact projects, interact with senior leadership, and contribute to decisions affecting major assets and infrastructure.

Cons

Workloads can be demanding, and priorities can shift quickly based on operational needs. Decision-making processes can be slow due to organizational complexity, and geographic mobility may be necessary for certain career opportunities.
