Cons

Can't believe how LVMH run Sephora in Australia, The store manager can easily fired anyone she didn't like and the management team talk and back stab other staff in the stores. 1) on my first day at work I know that the management team didn't like me and I did try my best to keep this job, but the manager always picking on me and limit my position. The management team never send people they dislike to training 2) After the store opening everyone tried there best to work hard and I saw a lot of people leaving the business because they been overwork and disagree with the management team 3) during my 4th month been working at Sephora, the store manager cut my hours said that I didn't suitable for the company culture and told me to think is this job suitable for me to stay. 4) 3 weeks later she call me into the office said I got customers complaint. I did asked them can they give me the evidence of complaint they said no and told me to leave. I was very shock because they fired staff without 3 verbal warning, 1 written warning and no human resources involved. I asked the manager a form of writing about my termination she said no. 5) in the end I decide to report Sephora to fair work and let them deal with it. 6) if anyone who want to apply for this company please be mindful of unorganised, racist manager, work bullying and manager making fun behind staff.

Pros

fun getting gratis and hosting in-store events, meeting brand ambassadors/managers, socializing with clients

Cons

manager created a weird environment -- coaching moments were sometimes extremely aggressive for a retail environment; strict on not applying makeup to clients unless they purchase a service. once made me move from a disabled client quickly because I was "spending too much time with them" and to further boost the store sales. felt extremely unethical.
