Pros

Lots of education being pushed through First dibs on new products First to know about new products Employee discount

Cons

If you truly want to work full time you have to sell hard. Otherwise, you won't get the hours you want. If you know what you're talking about, it's pretty easy. But during down time I found myself just telling people to buy things because I wanted to make my goal and keep my hours. It doesn't feel honest and bothered me a lot. If you are good at what you do, expect to move up pretty quickly but don't expect a pay rise. It's just your workload that gets bigger, not your check. I give it 3 stars for compensation only because of the benefits. They are pretty good. The discount is huge and if you're willing to learn, this is the place to start.

Pros

Friendly, knowledgeable, supportive coworkers. Management is generally pretty good. You get to work with all the fun products and learn directly from brand reps. And the customers are there to learn about the products - and you get to talk to them about the best products. If you're excited about Sephora, go apply!

Cons

Hours vary based on the time of the year.
