Pros

Gratis, getting to train with brands

Cons

They make it nearly impossible to switch worlds, even if you are more qualified and better suited for the one you want to be in. Management plays favorites and said favorites get away with everything while others get spoken to for something as simple as choosing to sit alone at lunch. Breaks are far too short; you can easily waste 10 minutes of your break time just waiting for a manager to check you out. They expect you to have a smile on 24/7 even though the clients are horribly spoiled and nasty. Pay is competitive but they don't let you know that; there should be no reason as to why, for example, one cashier makes $12 an hour and another makes $14. If the daily goal isn't made, management has no problem cutting shifts short and sending people home. They hire part timers by the boatloads to avoid having to give anyone full time/benefits.

Pros

fun getting gratis and hosting in-store events, meeting brand ambassadors/managers, socializing with clients

Cons

manager created a weird environment -- coaching moments were sometimes extremely aggressive for a retail environment; strict on not applying makeup to clients unless they purchase a service. once made me move from a disabled client quickly because I was "spending too much time with them" and to further boost the store sales. felt extremely unethical.
