Fragmented leadership - across expertise, objectives, and global time zones - makes it extremely challenging to find alignment and execute efficiently. The hiring focus is on Atlanta with an expectation of 3 days in-office at the North American HQ, yet most recent North American leadership hires are based elsewhere and several are remote. That doesn't feel good.
Overly ambitious targets that are not transparent result in low bonus payouts. Despite double-digit growth in all key metrics, and a sentiment across the North American business that "we killed it" or "had record numbers this quarter," it wasn't enough to meet the global ambition. Combined with the pressure for increased pace, burnout and fatigue are imminent. Full bonus payout doesn't seem attainable.
Compensation does not fall "within the top 5%" as claimed. Salary is below market, and bonus payout is only partially influenced by individual performance (the mechanism is re-evaluated each year, but the benchmarks are still ambiguous.)
Contradiction between sustainability message and AI focus. The environmental impact of AI - and the push for all colleagues to use AI tools - has not been reconciled with our sustainable commitment.
Communication fatigue
Location of North American HQ at Ponce City Market is not easy to get to or navigate with Atlanta traffic, lack of public transportation, and restrictive parking. Though the office is beautiful once you get there & find a parking spot!
