Pros

German Enterprise Software Company with Global Customer Base SAP in Ireland big teams support North America and Northern EU customers Opportunities for travel and personal and technical development Broad range of benefits including: -Free lunch -Health (investing in people) -Generous Pension matching (investing in the future) -Good social and sports - Individual Flexibility in how you use various benefits Big investment in student interns (SAP IXP Program) Good Program for CoOp Learning (study/Work and get paid) for college students Great local management team supporting global teams Location in Citywest (could be a con if you want City Centre) but good bus, Luas, Bike and car access Diverse tech stack. From SAP Netweaver to SAP Hybris and HANA as well as integration with other tech stacks the customer base uses.

Cons

Location (see pro) Brand doesn't have the profile of some of the US Tech companies. The number of career options and paths can be paralysing trying to navigate your options. Personal & TEchnical Development is driven by the individual which is only a con if you like a lot of close directive management.

Pros

I really liked my role at SAP. After being a cloud Customer Success Manager supporting strategic clients for several years, I moved into a group doing digital customer outreach including producing newsletters, release enablement, webcasts, documentation, event registrations, etc. Salary and bonuses were good, no complaints there.

Cons

No real cons for the job that I was in, except that our group was eliminated by the corporate restructuring and reduction in workforce in North America in 2025. I would have loved to stay but unfortunately we probably showed up on a restructuring spreadsheet somewhere and it was determined that our services were no longer needed. We off-boarded most of our work to other existing employees (who already had full time jobs), which felt unfair to them, but that is how it shook out.
