Pros
Decent compensation, good communication, lots of smart people. I think there are pretty good opportunities to learn and move into new job opportunities, and we're creating and testing the next generation of technologies in the lab. That's pretty cool. They actually fund R&D and don't seem to be cutting long term plans for short term profits. Wallstreet usually destroys larger engineering firms...
Cons
-The work life balance can be off. I think there is good flexibility, but a lot of pressure to work outside of normal hours/weekends. -They implemented an "unlimited time off policy", but my VP was like "well, you can't have unlimited time off, so <5 years is 15 days etc, here's a PTO policy that doesn't accrue and we don't have to pay out." -They are resisting fully remote work for most employees. It'll be interesting to see how this evolves.
