Pros

I like the atmosphere and the ability to approach senior and upper management without any repercussions. PTO & Sick time is great. Best I ever had in a long time!

Cons

One person handling all HR claims for 800+ employees. Male Senior management favors male employees! your hard work is not acknowledged. the ones who slack off and have zero experience get away with not working and being on their phones because they are friends with senior management. This is not the corporate experience I expected. There is no loyalty amongst leadership and team. It's sad when the whole company is waiting on amazon to arrive!

Hi there, thank you for sharing your experiences with your time at Philips here. Great to hear you're happy with the atmosphere and approachability of higher management. Having said that, the way you describe the HR processes within your department is less thrilling. I can imagine it's not great to have the idea male employees are being favored. Therefore, I would like to draw your attention to our Ethics point, an independent third party (https://secure.ethicspoint.eu/domain/media/en/gui/100518/index.html). Please know that management is active on Glassdoor as well, so your feedback won't go unnoted. Thanks again for sharing this and I wish you all the best with your career!

Pros

- Easy commute if you live north of Seattle/Bellevue - Decent cafeteria - Decent compensation

Cons

- The level of apathy amongst colleagues is off the charts. Many people are simply coasting and collecting a paycheck. When you try to be a team player and pick up the slack, you simply become a target for blame. - Due to the extremely lax "return to office" policy, the office often feels quite empty when there is plenty of work to be done. Being onsite M-F often leads to more work with little support. - There is a culture of public shaming, with several meetings every week dedicated to project leads targeting individuals to make up for their own lack of technical understanding.
