Pros
- get to meet some very interesting people - enjoy making a small difference to people's lives - good enhancements (almost 1.5x base rate after 8pm and Saturdays, almost 2x base rate on bank holidays and Sundays) - no two days are the same - certainly not boring
Cons
- poorly managed department - negative comments from staff members towards porters is demoralising - 6 day on, 2 day off work split leads to burnout -
