Pros

It has decent benefits, though every hiring iteration more of these benefits are cut back

Cons

If you do not work in the office you are expected to dedicate every waking hour to Mars. They survive through short-staffing. Management has little power to affect things, and upper management doesn't care. To keep things functioning sometimes you can't even take a lunch break. If you are looking to move up you better know how to work favoritism and suck up hard core. Most people in the office were not promoted to that: they were hired. Upward mobility is a joke. There is an extreme and constant double-standard between workers and office people. Management seems systemically unable to take accountability for bad choices, which are made often and with no input from those it will effect.

Pros

I’ve been at Mars (Yorkville site) for about three months as a Quality Systems Senior Specialist, and so far it’s been a great experience. Everyone has been genuinely friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. The culture feels very supportive—people want to see you succeed and are quick to share knowledge and offer guidance. My manager has been amazing and is truly invested in my growth. She’s helped set clear expectations, encouraged development, and provided the tools and support I need to be successful.

Cons

None so far—still new, but my experience has been very positive.
