Pros

Benefits are good. Initial compensation is competitive.

Cons

No work life balance at all. None... trying to take vacation days is a major hassle. Poor service levels and constant cuts on production lead to huge customer service and sales issues. I routinely work 12-14 hours a day. In order to cut costs they have in the last year hired poorly qualified employees to support sales. They are in fact, terrible and lack experience which is a huge issue when relying on them for insights and analytics. Very focused on hiring younger workers...unless you are in the East there are limited opportunities to advance

Pros

I’ve been at Mars (Yorkville site) for about three months as a Quality Systems Senior Specialist, and so far it’s been a great experience. Everyone has been genuinely friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. The culture feels very supportive—people want to see you succeed and are quick to share knowledge and offer guidance. My manager has been amazing and is truly invested in my growth. She’s helped set clear expectations, encouraged development, and provided the tools and support I need to be successful.

Cons

None so far—still new, but my experience has been very positive.
