Pros
Salary seems appealing, but break it down over the hours you will, and be answering your phone at home, and be bothered constantly by Area Managers outside of your working hours, and you will see you are on a very poor hourly wage!
Cons
Many many cons.....health and saftety is a biggy, doesnt exist in lidl, you just get on with it, even simple jobs like 2 people lifting doesnt get done, expect to be physically broken!!! Security, doesnt happen in lidl either, no security guards, deal with shoplifters etc yourself, if you get attacked then please finish serving the customers, restock the shelves, do the bakery, clean the floors, cash up, then get yourself off to hospital, but dont you dare call in sick tomorow!! Area Managers, havent got a clue what they are doing, straight from Uni, no retail experience, no people skills, no back none to stand up to thier managers so just send the crap downwards to store level!! Work life balance, never heard of it, how does work work balance sound instead, you are a pain if you have wife/kids/friends/parents/social life/illness etc... lidl is your life!!! Expenses never ever get paid, your staff are treated like criminals for complaining about it!! Stock, please dont eat any temperature controes stock, it is all def out of the chill chain, it left on the shop floor for hours before being chilled!! Bakery products will have ded been dropped on the floor, handled by staff who dont wash thier hands and kept for atleast a couple of days so very stale!! All in all lidl like to market themselves as a very good employer who cares about they rey are not, just go in to your local store and speak to any member of staff!!!
