Pros

401k, benefits you'd expect from any large corporation, Pay is ok but used to be much better.

Cons

Company has gone through a restructuring that has made us into beasts of burden. I believe I'm going to become a casualty to the changes that have been made. Too say that management is out of touch is putting it mildly, they just don't care anymore. Sales approach isn't in the customers best interest. Similar to the Wells Fargo scandal from a few years back where bankers were opening up accounts fraudulently to hit their numbers.... LM reps have and continue to "slide" policies in to hit goals. I've had some of my coworkers and close friends get fired for manipulating data on applications, avoiding calls, and taking too much time off... All valid reasons to be fired but the environment that is now our sales floor perpetuates all of these things. I'm hearing of a coworker being let go after returning from an approved FMLA leave. A few of us are afraid of using our PTO or FMLA in fear of retaliation. The company used to be absolutely incredible. So much has changed and I hope things get better before its too late.

Cons

Started my career at Liberty Mutual as a Workers' Compensation intern. In the beginning, everything was going well. The workload was demanding, but I genuinely enjoyed the job and the work I was doing. One year later, I got promoted to claim adjuster. Things changed after my manager was seriously injured in a car accident. The department director took over managing our team, and the work environment became completely different. She was extremely rude and practiced excessive micromanagement. She expected me not to take any PTO if my work wasn't completely finished, even when I needed time off because my grandmother had suddenly passed away. The constant pressure and lack of empathy took a serious toll on my mental health. I developed depression during that time and eventually had to seek help from a psychologist. In the end, I decided to leave Liberty Mutual. It was one of the best decisions I made for my well-being, and I would not consider returning to the company.
