Pros

- No real benefits, other than the mention of a Big 4 company on your CV. - The location (Cyberhub) is good.

Cons

- The GCM team suffers from incompetent leadership. - The recruiting HR uses "bait and switch" during contract signing, to significantly reduce the annual salary from what was earlier discussed. - The job description is a façade. The actual role is different and adds little value to your CV. Research jobs are more of copy-pasting and reporting-based nature. - Favoritism takes precedence over meritocracy. - The direction of the GCM team has changed 7 times in the last 3 years. In short, the team leaders are clueless and there has been a heavy exodus of talent from all the levels - from Associates to Managers. - Unhealthy culture (in terms of politics, sycophancy, mind-games, gluttony, alcoholism, partying, adultery, etc.) are shockingly promoted by the GCM director. - If you're not in the "inner circle" of the director, you will be harassed every day, until you either quit or "erase yourself" permanently. - HR is not there to help you, but rather gaslight you.

Pros

It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

Cons

Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
