Pros

Every now and then you get decent Area Managers and RGMs but that depends on your Regional Manager. As a manager, you can create your own team. You get to work with genuinely nice people most of the time.

Cons

Staff on minimum wage but the job requirement is above minimum wage. Unrealistic targets, line managers breathing down your neck constantly because of the way it’s being run from above which also demoralises the team from top to bottom. Hard, really hard to keep your team motivated as a manager should set up incentives and prizes for their team to keep them engaged and promote healthy competition at store level, however it is really hard to do so with everything mentioned above plus a low wage. So to sum it up even though theres a lot more to say...if you enjoy working as part of a demoralised team, with a very low pay in comparison with what the business is earning and constantly dealing with broken equipment that always fails to be approved for repair/replacement then look no further, this is the place for you. And yes you may have noticed that I have not even mentioned the customers in here which should be the main focus, because when youre part of such a “magnificent” team believe me customers are the last thing you need to think about. In what it concerns high level management if this company had managed a football team-the goalkeeper would be playing upfront. Leave you with a quote: “Demipower, ruining peoples lives since 1991”

Pros

Working at KFC has several advantages. One major benefit is the flexible scheduling, which makes it a good option for students or people with other jobs. The position is also entry-level friendly, meaning employees typically do not need prior experience to get hired. In addition, the fast-paced environment can make shifts feel shorter and more engaging. Many employees also enjoy the team atmosphere and develop friendships with their coworkers. Another advantage is the availability of employee discounts or free food during shifts, as well as the potential for advancement into shift leader or management roles.

Cons

However, there are also some disadvantages to working at KFC. The pay is often relatively low, usually close to minimum wage. The job can be physically demanding, requiring employees to stand for long periods, work in a hot kitchen, and perform tasks such as lifting and cleaning. The work environment can also be messy due to grease and food preparation. Additionally, the job can be stressful during busy hours, especially when dealing with long lines or high customer demand. Employees may also have to handle difficult or impatient customers, which can be challenging. Finally, work schedules may be inconsistent, with hours varying from week to week.
