Pros

Work is never boring at Henkel. There are always a diverse group of colleagues to work with whether they are from Germany or China or Manila or the US. The Company values innovation and efficiency. No one is pigeon-holed and if you like foreign travel, the opportunities are there.

Cons

HIPOs are the in thing. The younger you are the more you can be considered one leading solid older employees to feel less valued even if they are solid at their jobs. The review process is done so that every year, a certain percentage of people are required to be M which leads to less of a bonus and merit increase for them. You can think you put in a Strong performance all year long and then the VPs go into a room and come out telling you otherwise. One bad project or visible mistake can lead to a low rating. This leads to a lot of distrust and teamwork, although espoused is difficult when those around you are looking to cut you down so that they won't be Ms.

Pros

Good pay, Union job, not terrible work overall

Cons

Management lacks communication and micromanages immensely. Since packaging shut down, outlook on this plant is grim, with little to no positive affirmations from management regarding long term outlook. Zero room for growth at this site.
