If you like the consulting life-style (>80% travel) HCL AXON is a good company to work for. Since joining HCL AXON I have met a lot of smart, professional, and very experienced colleagues. Cons
IT support for consultants "on the road" needs lots of improvement. The response and ability of the IT department to help consultants that are at the client location is below par. Issue resolution typically takes many calls and stretch multiple days. Often without good resolution. This is unacceptable for consultants at a client site and hurts attention to client / project needs (and billability). Too many stories of broken laptops taking days before being issued a (workable) replacement. On a similar note, the HR department is stretched and part is handled off-shore in India. Resulting in ineffective communications, frequently causing problems when on-boarding (international) resources, and also slow response in e.g. fixing expense issues (although delayed, in the end they will get fixed correctly). For HCL AXON to truly be a top tier consulting firm they need to pay attention to fixing the internal "backbone".
