It changes procedures quickly and adapts to a VUCA environment very fast Good training opportunities One can grow and develop in the company up to a certain level. If you do not make waves and get close to the right people you can be smart, play low, not disturb and have a happy life. You can even get cool projects, support etc.
Cons
Very Very Romanian way of doing things : - mangers operate on perceptions not on numbers and they are very reluctant to feedback - challenging objectives, it's good when you reach them, but when you struggle do to lack of resources they easily forget all previous successes, do not offer any help --> it's somehow always your responsibility to become better and reach all goals with no team, no flexibility in finding solutions for working people, somehow middle managers must keep people engaged while handling hundreds of demands/ day/ person with minimum gross salary... etc. - they fired people on the spot regardless of a persons results. If that person has a different opinion than the executive board, bye. bye. It takes only two days. Many appreciated people suddenly vanished from the company. - very very unhealthy was of managing change and teams. There are still some manager there that walk tall, but many others form an unhealthy group of incompetency, they fail to see their limits, they cover up each other ... overall is quite a toxic environment, I have never heard so much subjectivity in a large company as I heard here. - I am not sayng all ar like this, but It really hurt to see many ! not one, MANY of my mentors, people so competent, so dedicated, so bright, so agile motivators ... just being laid off. It was shocking to see this and I hear it is still happening. Groupama tries to adapt to a very difficult market and tries to centralize it's executive board and cut costs. But really it's scary and somehow psychopathic how they simply just lay people off. Good people. People other companies fight to get. Still Groupama's message is that they are a company that grows people. Maybe they grow them in fear , because everyone I talked to still that still works there for some time is grossed out by what is happening. So sad they see how they decimate everything internally. Business decisions must be based on numbers of course but the human capital hase huuuge longe term costs.
